Bipedal Treefort with Fractal Structure

Austin, Texas, USA - 2015

Crafted from upcycled and discarded timber, the fort is intentionally designed to have minimal impact on the surrounding landscape. The structure - entirely freestanding - has no fasteners that are used to draw support from the centralized tree. Branching fractal posts provide a two-legged vertical support system, while lateral forces are counteracted by the adjoining stairway.
