View of stair and studio enclosures
Doğuş Media Group Studios
Istanbul, Türkiye - 2012
This project redefines the traditional broadcast studio with a transparent new environment for programming for NTV and CNBC-e. Departing from the usual “black box” secrecy of news production, the studios are encased within a glass envelope bisected by a public stairway, inviting the outside activities in to the studios.
This design weaves together the broadcast team and the public, allowing visitors to observe the production process firsthand. The previously hidden mechanics of editorial and production become visible, underscoring the democratization and demystification of news media in contemporary society.
By blending transparency with cutting-edge technology, the studios become a bold statement on the evolving role of news broadcasting - fostering interaction, trust, and engagement between the media and its audience.
