CNN DC Bureau
Washington, DC, USA - 2012
CNN’s Washington Studios embody the network’s commitment to delivering authoritative coverage from the nation’s capital. This innovative space features a retractable glass curtain wall that can join or separate two distinct broadcast areas, offering remarkable flexibility depending on the program needs.
At the heart of the design, a 27-foot-long LED “vistawall” presents live video feed of the U.S. Capitol, setting a powerful visual connection to place. When the glass partition is open, the studio transforms into a single expansive environment that allows for large expert panel discussions. Closed, the two studios operate independently, supporting simultaneous broadcasts.
Versatility extends further through modular desks, mobile interactive displays, large LED arrays, all designed to enhance storytelling and production quality. The CNN DC Bureau is a sophisticated environment that adapts seamlessly to the dynamic pace of political news.
